To the Rain
I belong to the Rain
Because that is where the birds scream
The worms crawl
It is always raining
A slow persistent drizzle
In my mind
I belong to the Rain
Because that is where the wind,
Along with the rain
Pelt and lash flat
The flower beds
Flowers bent and bruised
But not dead
I belong to the Rain
Because that is when something
Falls through my heart
Crumbling it into ruins
Still holding on the life
When the old dust blows in
I belong to the Rain
Because that is When the blue
becomes gray
The warm becomes wet
The trees shaken but shine
Billions of raindrops all around
I search that is mine
I belong to the Rain!
